Translation editing and review

If you have a finished translation, but you have doubts about its accuracy and quality, our Translation Agency “50 Mov” will be happy to help you with editing and review of the translation.

Editing of translation is an obligatory stage of work with a translated text. Editing services involve comparing the translated text with the original (checking the correctness of the vocabulary, clarity of presentation, integrity of the translation, correctness of the meaning, identifying untranslated places).

Review (proofreading) of translation is the final stage of translation work. At this stage, the text is reviewed for stylistics, mechanical errors (typos), and punctuation.

The cost of the editor’s work, i.e. professional proofreading of the translated text, is 50 % of the standard translation cost. The number of corrections included in the standard cost of translation editing and proofreading should not exceed 20 % of the text length. Additional corrections are paid for additionally (at the standard cost of translation).

If a native speaker is required, the cost of the service increases by 50 % or more, depending on the language and professional field.

A native speaker is a translator or editor whose native language is the target language.

Please note that our agency does not accept translations made by electronic translators for proofreading. Such translations are a set of unrelated words and require a full translation again.
